Pre Professional Practicum Commitment Ceremony

On October 1st, the University of Azuay and the major of Pedagogy of National and Foreign Languages (PINE), held a ceremony for its students who are close to starting their Pre-Professional Practicum.
In this event, university authorities, faculty members, students as well as family members and friends were all present to witness this heartfelt moment.
The ceremony began with words of our Rector, who stated the relevance of these events as a way to recognize students' effort and dedication. The speech was finalized by his wishes and hopes of success for the students during this new phase of their teacher preparation journey remarking the significance of maintaining a spirit of service to the community.
Thereafter, Magali Arteaga, Coordinator of the school of PINE, addressed that the handing of the vests simbolizes academic readiness as well as the commitment and values that each student will carry with them during their process. The coordinator concluded her speech by wishing the students great success as they begin this new chapter in their academic life.
Consequently, the event procceeded with the handing of the vests, booklets and badges to our students.
To come to an end, the student of the PINE major, Pedro Molina, gave a short motivational speech stating how meaningful and symbolic moment that this event is for their academic journey. Furthermore, he expressed that with this event, the university entrusts in them the knowledge thay have gained to take to different institutions in the city to contribute in the area in which they have been trained.
